Monday Morning Tai Chi Training Tip # 429

Success In Life

I was going through some old papers and came across this piece of advice. It was passed to my wife, Dana, from her grandmother who passed away at 101 and was so sharp, even at her advanced age. It certainly rings true to me. I hope it does to you also. I know Tai Chi practice will help you succeed in living a real life.

“To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one’s self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived – this is to have succeeded.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
